Biography 
Dr. George M.A. Fortier IV is the fourth generation of surgeons of the same name serving Central Minnesota. The first Dr. George M.A. Fortier moved to Minnesota from Quebec in 1881. 

Dr. GMA Fortier II began practicing medicine and surgery in Minnesota in 1929, followed by Dr. GMA Fortier III in 1968. Dr. GMA Fortier IV began the full-time practice of surgery in Minnesota in 1993. Dr. Fortier IV practiced with his father until his father's untimely death in a plane crash in 1998.

Dr. Fortier's personal interests are golfing, motorcycle riding, fishing and hunting.
